The generous support of Community Rebuild’87 headed by Mr. Carl Ditchburn and team  of sending the used school materials from a school closed down in UK, to be donated to government run primary schools in the project area of READ Centre, Bangalore.

READ Centre has donated the school materials and books to an orphanage and Jamboo Savari Dinne School, Bangalore and has set up a children’s library in READ Centre office premises to help the local children to access the books and enjoy reading and learning.

Friends from Community Campus’87, The Brunswick Street, STOCKTON-ON-TEES TS18 IUU, UK have helped the village community at Huliyar to construct a Youth Hall with their generous support and hard work. The building is in the final stages of completion. The village community is planning to have an inaugural function on the 15th of August 2010. (on the eve of 61st Independence Day celebration of India)

Community Campus Team has participated in a Marathon that was held in the month of June at Middlesborough to raise money for supporting rural children’s education in Tumkur District, Karnataka.

Formation of Children's neighbourhood Library

READ has a vast collection of children's books pertaining to various streamsof knowledge like Science, Astronomy, History, Fiction, Mathematics,Geography and Map books, Sports, Arts and Architecture, Literature, Britannica Encyclopedia, Books on General Knowledge and other books of common interest. The main aim of the Neighbourhood Children's Library is to provide these books for reference and to borrow  to cherish
their knowledge and cultivate good reading habits.

Block Placement of MSW Students

We are pleased to offer *Block Placement Services *to the *MSW* students to assist them for a better understanding of the NGO sector. We have prior experience in various Block Placement Programmes for MSW students from
