Anekal Rehabilitation Education And Development (READ) Centre was started in 1984 by a group young socially committed individuals who had experiences in working among the poor and the marginalized communities in urban and rural areas in south India.

To help the community to identify and start locally adapted viable community business that has wider scope in enhancing the poor to become economically better.
 

Released and resettled 2500 families of bonded labour from different parts of India with the support of Supreme Court of India
Formed 900 rural women collectives (Self help groups) and linked with local banks and regional land and agriculture development departments
 

We are looking for volunteers and interns to provide English course or lessons to middle school, high school and paramedical students The work is based in Bangalore city. You are expected to work three to four hours a day for three to four days a week.
